SurfaPaint ThermoDry® Metals is a water-based and waterproof paint that can be directly applied on metal surfaces for thermal insulation and metal corrosion prevention. It is a unique all-in-one formulation of a high quality PU-modified acrylic paint and SurfaPore ThermoDry®. It can withstand temperatures of up to 150°C and can be used as a tinting base for light shades.
When thermal energy travels through walls and other surfaces, large amounts of energy are required for cooling in the summer or heating in the winter. SurfaPaint ThermoDry® Metals contains special nano and micro-sized thermal insulating particles that block heat transfer, reflect thermal radiation, and create a moisture barrier that can help significantly with energy saving.
|Thermal Conductivity||< 0,1 W/(mK), (EN 12667:2004) - corresponding value for a conventional paint is 0.50 W/(mk)|
|Thermal Reflectance||>90% Reflection of the IR region of light (ASTM G173-03)|
|Liquid water permeability||“non-permeable” by water according to EN ISO 1062-3:2008|
Attention: SurfaPaint ThermoDry® Metals can be used directly on all types of ferrous metals for effective corrosion prevention. On non-ferrous metals such as aluminium and on freshly galvanised steel, a primer should be used. The waterproof paint has a spreading rate of 8 m2/L per coat.
